2005: A New Service from P&A Receivables:
Commercial Finance Brokering
The Directors of P&A
Receivables Services plc. are pleased to announce a new service
for businesses. The Lender
Service division is extending its range of activities and establishing
a Commercial Finance Broking department, which will be managed by
Steve Dunwell who joins the firm from City Invoice Finance, where
he was a Regional Manager.
Jeremy Priestley, Managing Director said, ‘The UK finance market
for businesses seems to be going the same way as the US and Australia
where the placing of finance through brokers, rather than businesses
going direct to banks, has doubled over the past 5 years. This is largely
a result of the main players focussing on portfolio risk in their segmented
businesses – and so making it difficult for new and growing businesses
to find the right source of finance for their business plans.’
Mike Sanderson, Divisional Director, said ‘ this is an exciting
move for P&A Lender Services and we are delighted that Steve Dunwell
is joining us as a Commercial Finance Broker. He is a seasoned banker
with 25 years experience in corporate banking and invoice discounting
and will be providing a valuable service to the business market in the
Midlands and the North, providing quotations for finance for working
capital, asset purchases and commercial property’.
